Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost & how long is the treatment?

All our Osteopathic consultations and treatments are £60.00 and £55 respectfully with no hidden costs and last for up to 30 minutes. We are covered by all the major medical insurance companies.

What should I expect on my first consultation/treatment?

You will be asked some questions regarding your presenting symptoms, the history of your condition and past medical history. On examination you will usually be required to undress to your underwear in a private changing area (You are welcome to wear loose clothing such as a tracksuit and we can provide a gown if you want). You will first be assessed standing where you will be asked to perform some very simple movements. Following this you will then be examined lying down, where your Osteopath will explain what is wrong and the best treatment plan for you. Treatment, which is inclusive in the consultation varies from patient to patient but will be specifically tailored for you.

Your comfort and safety are important to us.

You're welcome to bring a friend, family member, or a carer to your appointment. We also have a receptionist on-site who can act as a chaperone if requested - just let us know in advance.

Patients under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on your presenting injury, your age, health and occupation etc. A simple neck or back sprain usually takes about two treatments. However, long term, repetitive and/or disc conditions may take longer and are often spread over a period of time.

What is the difference between Osteopathy & Chiropractic treatment?

This is a question I am asked daily. In a nutshell there is not much difference between us. We both share the same common philosophy about the importance of the integrity of the spine in assuring good health. Generally, however, Chiropractors rely mainly on spinal manipulations whilst Osteopaths use not only manipulations but other techniques such as soft tissue and treat the patients’ whole body. The main point to remember is that no matter which professional you choose, excellent care will be given.

Do you have any other available treatments?

Yes, we also offer Acupuncture and Podiatry Treatments. Contact the clinic if you require further information.

I am testimony to one of those people you hear of, I literally crawled in, in agony and walked out. Thank you.
